High School Mentoring
High School Mentoring: Students Supporting Students
The High School Mentoring program is an exciting new opportunity for students in Grade 10 to 12 to become positive role models for younger children. In this school-based program, high school mentors are matched one-on-one with a younger student for one hour each week at a nearby elementary school.
During weekly meeting ups, matches might play games, do crafts, read together, or simply talk and connect. The goal is to build a trusting, supportive friendship that helps younger students feel seen, heard, and valued.
For high school students, this is a chance to develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while making a real difference in a child’s life. It’s also a great way to gain volunteer experience, boost confidence and give back to the broader community.
We provide full training and ongoing support. No experience needed -just a willingness to listen, show up, and be a consistent, caring presence.
