BBBS of Prince Albert
We believe every child has the right to reach their full potential, the right to a bright future and the right to thrive. When we show youth that we hear them, value them and are willing to defend their potential – they become thriving adults. We build up the individual to build up our community and create lasting systemic change. For over 50 years Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Albert has served the diverse and ever-changing needs of our city’s marginalized children. We aspire to continue building up our community, by empowering lives through mentorship.
Local Testimonials
“I have been a Big Brother for more than 20 years. I originally joined with a plan of being a role model to a young person. I have always benefitted greatly from this organization. It has taught me how to better interact with youth and share in their joys and challenges as they grow up. “

“This program is a tremendous opportunity for anyone. The BBBS ISM School Mentoring program takes minimal commitment. It is only once per week for one hour. The schedule is flexible and allows the School Mentor to accommodate both their personal and work schedule. I love being a BBBS In School Mentor!”

“My son sees his Big Brother every week and it has been such a gift. The gift of time is exactly what my son needs. He feels accepted, important, like he has a true friend. My son can struggle socially and his Big Brother has helped him with some heartfelt advice for school, confidence in sports, and being okay with being with someone outside of family. We are really grateful for this program”

“Big Brothers Big Sisters has been such an amazing program to be a part of as the staff display a non-judgmental environment in which the youth and volunteers can confide in anything and everything for. Since the first time my mentee and I met, she already had a strong head on her shoulders, I was just there to provide her with the guidance she needed to progress.”

“We all know investing is a good idea. It’s easy to see the value of investing in money but what is largely overlooked (and I believe is even more important) is time spent investing in children”
