Seven Prince Albert restaurants are participating in the first ever PA Poutine Week March 11th to 20th to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters while competing for the Gravy Bowl Championship and the Poutine Choice Award!

The following restaurants have poutines available: Boston Pizza, MR MIKES Steakhouse Casual, Original Joe’s, Rock & Iron Clubhouse, Shananigan’s Coffee & Dessert Bar, The Knotty Pine and The Spice Trail! Each restaurant has created their own Poutine Special to serve for the 10 day event and $4 from each one sold will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Albert.

“Each restaurant had creative control of coming up with a special new poutine. Check out the poutine menu on our website -there is a wide variety of fantastic dishes to choose from.” says Big Brothers Big Sisters Development Coordinator, Natasha Thomson.

The restaurant that sells the most poutine will be named the Gravy Bowl Champion and the restaurant with the most votes by social media will win the Poutine Choice Award. “Prince Albert poutine fans will be choosing who wins the Poutine Choice Award” explains Thomson. “By sharing a photo of the poutine you ordered on Facebook or Instagram, you can help to determine the winner. Plus each vote also enters diners into a contest to win a gift card. We are giving away a $25 restaurant gift card each day of the event. ”

The funds raised from this event will support developmental mentoring relationships between volunteers and youth in Prince Albert who face one or more adversities in their daily lives so they can thrive and achieve their potential.
